Humans (Homo sapiens, Minì Ñaphe ima Cha-Ñaphe, "Only humans from [those] like humans") are the sole representative of the primate order in the Chihazh system. Humans of the Chihazh system are very similar to their Terran ancestors, but some differences do exist, due to early genetic engineering, as well as some founder effects, including:
- Greatly improved regenerative abilities
- Fewer genetic diseases
- Ability to synthesize certain vitamins
- Slowed aging process, including delayed puberty (partly reversed by post-colonization evolution)
Some biologists divide H. sapiens into two subspecies, H. sapiens galhafensis and H. sapiens khandensis for each of the two inhabited planets.
Each of the subspecies are divided into a number of ethnicities
