The first age. Civilizations began to emerge and languages were developed. Historical records were started during this age.

Age of Crowns

During this age, the early civilizations of Nicaera began developing into nations. The first political leaders rose to power during this age. There were several wars as the nations fought for power. Later in the age, diplomacy developed and the focus shifted from military power to scientific advancement.

Age of Magi

During this age Nicaera underwent a revolution. The science of magic became a cultural focus during this era. The magi became respected and politically powerful. The Ring of Magi was formed during this age. Roeaena was born during this age. Later in the age, the Necromancer's War brought into question the integrity and moral fiber of the magi. They began to lose the political power they once held. Tension grew between the nations and minor conflicts erupted. However, since military strength and magic had both fallen out of favor, the overall result was a sort of global withdrawal.

Age of Silence

As the name suggests, during this age there was a mutual sense of isolation between the nations of Nicaera. Political power shifted from the magi back onto the shoulders of the royalty. Later in the age, trade began to strengthen between the nations, slowly at first.

Age of Peace

As the Age of Silence drew to a close, the nations of Nicaera began to forge good relationships. Past conflicts were forgotten and trade flourished. This age lasted for a long while, but was brought to an end by Daeod's attempt to bring the Darkness. The tension it created was the catalyst that started the Ainaean Civil War. This, in turn, led to other wars and reopened old wounds.

Age of War

During this age, the focus of the nations shifted back to military power. Magic began to be treated as a martial art and fell out of the common interest. Aen arrived in the World of Light during this age. Technology became an interest to the major nations during this era.

Age of Rebirth

The conflict in the world started to become more subtle, but did not dissipate. By this time, most humans had lost the ability to manipulate mana. Those who could were either revered or shunned depending on the area.

Age of Discovery

The technological revolution began in this age. Most major conflicts were eventually resolved. Technology progressed from steam to electricity.

Age of Mechanism

Mana was rediscovered during the era as a form of energy. The spiritual and scientific clashed during this era. Technology continued to progress rapidly, especially in the north.
